It's that time of year for candy and gifting. When you have kiddos you are forced to get back into the Valentines spirit and make heart shaped things happen. This year my daughter (aka my Sweetbun) was asked by her teacher to get creative. Being her mother's daughter it didn't take her much time to come up with a unique crafty gift. She pulled out her laptop and found a great recipe for Peppermint Marshmallows.
This was a super easy and quick recipe but I would caution you all on the peppermint extract. I would cut it in half (or maybe even more). I like just a touch of mintiness.
We ran ourselves over to the Target store and found a cute little heart cookie cutter and some treat bags and we were ready to roll.
These special marshmallow valentines turned out tasty, and cute too. Here are some fun pics we took while we were cookin' them up.
